Sims 3

Greetings everyone! I'm new to this site I'm an aspie and have had my diagnosis for years. I'm really big into technology of course and love video games! But, one of my favorites is the Sims 3 I love to build and design the houses. I was wondering if anyone else was really big into the sims?

Hi, and welcome!

I used to spend hours playing The Sims, ever since I was younger. Designing and building houses is always one of the best parts, but I found controlling the lives and social interactions of tiny simulated people is just as fun!

I love playing the sims 3 but mainly for the building aspect, I get bored after a while once the game gets going after I have designed the house/colour scheme etc, I keep buying addons just so I have more variation in what I can put into the houses.

It's been a while since I last played, but used to be obsessed :P

Sims 4 is coming out soon fyi

I used to be so into Sims 2! I must have accumulated months and months worth of play time. So many houses, families, generations, etc. Never really got into Sims 3 since the dynamics were a little different.

Didn't know there was a Sims 4 coming out though?!

Haven't played anything but the original game (with some of the expansions that were released).

The game has the dubious honour of using the Comic Sans font appropriately/without standing out as a bad font choice (atleast IMHO).

I do also find myself comparing people to Sims though in some ways, like I have a social meter that does get too low if I don't communicate with anyone for days/weeks but unlike Sims I have a separate bar for social stamina that depletes during socialisation. I must also be a good cook as I hardly ever start kitchen fires...

I go in and out. I play for hours for ages and then I won't play it for months. But yeh I like it. More the house design than the game but still.

Yeah, I'm the same. I build tons of houses, and move a family in, then never play them again :P

I'm now determined to play Sims 3 again if I have free time over the next few days! I think a lot of it was that it was so different from Sims 2 in a lot of ways, and therefore very hard to get used to. Sims 4 looks very iOS 7-ised - very simple & cartoon-like compared to previous versions. Still interested to play it though!
