This is a thread where you can post pics of your holiday decor so everyone can get into the festive spirit!

If you celebrate a holiday other than Christmas, I want to see those decorations too!

I am so excited to see everyone's Christmas trees or if they have any lights they put up outside!

Maybe even post pics of crafts you're doing to decorate your home :)

I'll post some pics of my home in a few minutes.

Here's a couple views of my lovely living room. I've been really meaning to decorate more, but it's all I've done so far. I want to make ginormous paper chains. Also I've been meaning to cut garlands from some fir trees outside, but it's been so darn cold and rainy this month. I'll post more when I decorate more.

I hope this makes you feel all cozy and merry. I'd like to see your decor too!

These are photos of what our house looked like last year, in case you're curious (or just need an excuse to be jolly):

I haven't fully decorated yet, but we just pulled out another box of ornaments- so this year will be epically better than last year!

I'm still in the process of setting up my Christmas train layout, so I will likely update when I git 'er done :p

I bought double stuffed Oreos, those rectangular sugar wafers (whatever they're called?), Rice Krispie Treats, cotton candy, and Dots. We're gonna make sorta gingerbread houses, but they'll be like log cabins. The cotton candy will be snow. Hopefully the frosting from all the sandwich cookies works as mortar. If not, oh well, I know how to make buttercream frosting.

I'll post pics later or tomorrow!

My daughter and I decided to make a house this year out of sandwich cookies, using the cream centers as mortar. As you see, we didn't have enough frosting, so I had to use maple syrup. When that ran out, we used jam.

So as my daughter says, the gingerbread house resembles an ancient Babylonian Ziggurat. Totally unintentional.

She also says it looks like a Borg Cube.

Anyway, she's right. It does sort of look like a Ziggurat. So I'm saying that it's the Ziggurat where the Magi observed the Star of Bethlehem, hailing the Messiah's birth. It's our Ancient Babylonian Christmas Ziggurat!

And you know, the little Dots candies on top? She is so silly! She says that's where in the Ziggurat that the Illuminatti go to spy on everyone. And I had to reiterate that the jam is not supposed to be blood from the fire altar!!!!!

Yeah.

PS I can honestly say that in our house, this was the first holiday season where the word "Cthulu" was used whilst building a gingerbread house. And it's the first holiday season where I had to continuously roll my eyes and say "No, that's not blood, honey."
