What about Allerheiligen on November 1. and Allerseelen on November 2. :)
I think most people celebrate it, or I just don´t know that : D there are sure some people who celebrate that.

I heard "Allerseelen" the first time : D but yes, they are both holidays in germany. nice that you know that : D
 
ah yeah... you american have thanksgiving in november. we germans have... nothing in november : (
A large number of Germans migrated to Australia over a century ago and set up a community in The Barossa Valley, now famous for it's wines, and for German bakeries. They wanted to keep some of their traditional holidays but the time of year was wrong.

They couldn't call their harvest festival Oktoberfest because harvesting was done in March, so every year they have a harvest festival but they call it The Schutsenfest.
