My S.B.L of the N. ( :) ) bloomed two perfect blooms today:

These are famous because much of ancient Egyptian decorative art was based either on the papyrus plant, or these water lilies.

Most of the blue tropical water lilies were bred from this wild form.

I prefer the wild form.
 
When I see water lilies, I seem to automatically think of a frog sitting on them.
