Rules

I'm curious, what are some of your rules (positive or negative)? Have they helped?

I was a feral child raised by domestic dogs. I am not much for rules

But I am loyal, hard-working, protective of my pack, territorial, and I love running free.

I am not much for barking but I will bite if provoked.

My favorite character traits are OCD, ADHD, & curiosity.

He stood on one foot and said, "That which is hateful to you do not do to others. All the rest is commentary. Now go and learn.”
Why would anyone ask another person to talk while standing on one foot unless one foot was all they had?

I eagerly await Yeshuasdaughter's interpretation, but

I think the Rabbi's response (“That which is hateful to you") to the disrespect of the request (command from the hierarchy?) to stand & recite was built into the quip ("do not do to others. All the rest is commentary. Now go and learn [something useful]”)

Or maybe he had just the one leg ;)
