Damn... I have been expecting that for a while already considering his age, but really wished he would make it to 100. Still remember how his face became familiar to me first time when I was a little kid and loved the ragtime music of The Sting (1973).

So many great roles, but The Natural was just something perfect for me. I played baseball quite a while, and he just embodied a ball player purely.

He was one of those actors I had started to believe would somehow be around forever. I was reorganizing some video files the other day and I found the copy of Sneakers I had ripped from my DVD and thought I should watch it again soon. When it first came out, I was told that I should watch it as it would appeal to me, but somehow I only just watched it a couple of years ago when I found the DVD online.

Quite surreal to be watching a movie that was about 30 years old but felt like a new release to me. I'm not sure how I managed to have never seen it in all that time. It was a pretty fun movie too that only slightly over did the representations of "hacking" unlike the movie Hackers which just abstracted things to the point of ridiculousness.

If I caught one of his movies late at night by pure chance, it always felt like I had stumbled on a gem to keep my company for a couple of hours.

Have my condolences. My youngest sister remembered him narrating for as the "voice" of the Goldman Prize by narrating videos of the award recipients.

How time does fly.
I spent a lovely afternoon on a private beach in Florida with him just about the time Indecent Proposal came out. I was doing a modeling gig. He was a gentleman.
Shocked to hear the news today. Seems like yesterday in my memory. RIP

1984 or 1985. Not certain for sure. Just one afternoon. Been a long time ago. I was in my early twenties.
Indecent Proposal, ( looked the release date up), was 1993. He looked much like he did in that film. The look I remember.
