Riddles

Is this not the nature of pretty much every riddle here? I know many I can't do because there are so many possibilities.
Yes, we all can interpret things differently. That is what makes solving them hard sometimes, as we have to get in the head of the other sometimes or understand their use of wordage.

Next riddle:

I often get confused,
So I go step by step
But this mixes me up too.

What am I?

Getting mixed up referred to the ingredients often on recipe lists. They can get mixed in blender or mixing bowl, etc.

@Boogs wins! Recipe instructions are often in a box. The recipe is not a solid.
I've only come across recipes in books, but then I'm not the most culinary of people.
I could give a good argument that a recipe, even stored in a human brain, is essentially material in nature, whether a solid in solution, or not, or a liquid, or a mixture, even gases will come into it, but then I'd be being churlish for the sake of it (as is my nature though! 😉). I do take the word 'literal' to extremes sometimes, can't help it! 😬

Gimme an hour to see if I can come up with something impossible to guess or too easy by far! 😊

Sod it, this one should be quick n' easy...

One of me's great for growing your food in.
One of me's part of the reality you live in.
Another's a place you had a battle.
One's cold as ice to make your teeth rattle.
One of me's used to play your sports.
And another's involved in your very thoughts.

Isn't the ink a liquid that dries into a solid?😉
Even the molecules that store the memories of a recipe could be said to be solid, or liquid or solution.

But then I bet every riddle here could be beaten and thrashed with the stick of context and minutia if we wanted. Every clue could be shown to have a flaw, so I figure if I don't want mine pulled apart, I shouldn't do it to others?

My mother and I both thought of a recipe independently, but we rejected it because it's the ingredients that get mixed up, not the recipe.

There is no debate here. AI says a recipe is not a solid. Robots or whatever that is called is never wrong, I think :)
