Riddles

Fences, as trees can be fences, concrete barriers can be fences and a row of houses can be fences?
 
While it may indeed cover the examples, there are other things that fit the original riddle.

My final guess will be "property" or "real estate" as I ran out of other ideas. Whatever the answer, it was a good riddle as it is hard for any to figure it out.
 
Did you all see my post earlier today in the thread about crossover stories? If so what do you think about it?

I just saw that thread and will think of some story with past characters that I think would be interesting .I have a couple of ideas there.
