Riddles

I'm no good with riddles, so please someone else have a go.

Fay's last clue gave it away for me, I've seen people selling lightning glass in markets before.

The wording won't be exactly the same but the following is based off one I used to tell at my old retail job.

These peaches are the right colour, have no mold nor funny smell.
Yet that they are bad I now can tell?
How can I?
