Case in point, tonight...
I went to a poetry open mic, my friend hosts it. It's in a cafe/coffee shop so fairly casual.
Most people sit in the same seat the whole time, rarely getting up, unless perhaps they are reading their poem, maybe grab a coffee, etc...
Me? After sitting for awhile, I got up, moved to a different seat (there was lots of space open), eventually pulled out my camera because I saw a photo composition I thought I liked, took the photo. At one point stood up to watch instead of sitting down.
This is often my routine at cafe shows, I'm not hyper in terms of personality, just don't like sitting down all that much. I suspect part of that comes from my photography, over the years I have often photographed all sorts of performances watching and photographing them mostly while standing and moving around the venue, I'm actually very analytical in how I approach this, I'm constantly thinking in terms of elements of photo composition. And sitting in one seat for too long is counter productive.
Even when I don't photograph a show I tend to be the same way, not sure what I would ever do at a stadium show.
In certain other situations I can be rather restless, especially in public. Yet at home in front of the computer I am the complete opposite, probably sitting down too much when I'm actually at home in between work and other activities, since it's just me at home.
Is this just a "me" thing? Or is it possibly an Aspie trait as well? I don't think I have ADD, maybe I have a little of it.
