Neurotypical is a general term for what would be found in great numbers of a population, or the norm.
Neurodiverse is a general term for what would be found is small numbers of a population, or the unique, or not the norm.
Autism is one neurological condition that could be categorized as part of the population as Neurodiverse.

There's nothing mentally ill about autism. Yes, a lot of us do have depression but autism itself is not a mental illness regardless of any opinions you have about your own autism.

You can't just cherry pick and say what is a mental illness and what isn't.
It's a mental illness like Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Multiple Personality Disorder, etc

No it's not, I have Asperger's, do I consider myself "Ill"?! Nope, contrary to popular opinion I am NOT mentally handicapped, nor is any other person with AS or Autism.

I do have a handicap in life, it is not a serious one but it is there, a handicap no matter how grand or small is still a handicap.
