Psychiatrist recommendation

Hi all

Not for me but for a close friend - can someone recommend a Psychiatrist who specialises in addiction (alcohol/prescription drugs) in Limerick or Dublin?

I managed to help him get GP referral for St John of Gods but he was assessed by way of a telephone 'interview' and was deemed not severe enough for admission. There have been some threats of suicide whilst under the influence so we feels it's important and I'm not sure what the best course of action is right now.

Thanks

Here is how I found my EMDR therapist recently. Go on Google Maps, search for the Town/City so it centres it on the screen. Then type in a new search of what you need. In this case "Addiction Therapist". It will then populate with lots of markers for therapists.

I then went on every website and got their email addresses. Then typed up one email which provided a brief history of my mental health, and times/dates I'm available. I then copy and paste that to every therapist.

Also good to check their hourly rate, as therapy is getting more and more expensive.

Here you go, there's a fair few in Limerick:

Here's for Dublin:

All the best.
