Post something Weird or Random

Here's one of the Gophers crowd taunting the away team lineup announcement.
* Edit* I had to take out the video because it's rude

Goalie - "Sieve!"

First Skater - "Hack"

Second Skater - "Who's he?"

Third Skater - "Never heard of him"

Fourth Skater - "Go home."

Fifth Skater - "Who cares?"

Coach - "Nice Tie!"

That's also hilarious lol.
I would love to include my husband's trash talk on here because it's clever as heck but it's also too rude

Why does only the surface freeze? I do not understand why. It is an interesting fact though I had not thought about.
Air temperatures in the polar regions quite often reach -40 degrees (near the same in both F and C) and almost everything freezes solid. That's considerably colder than your household freezer. Ocean currents of course mean that the water never remains perfectly still, it's always flowing to somewhere from somewhere, so there's always fresh slightly warmer water flowing under the ice in the Arctic region.

The Antarctic region is a massive continent that remains frozen solid all year around but the Arctic has no land and all that ice at the pole is just a large floating island of ice.

Some interesting facts about global warming and sea level rise - yes, both are happening.

A lot of scaremongers have been dramatically overstating how much sea levels will rise by due to a few simple facts of physics that they conveniently "forget".

Ice that is floating is already displacing it's own weight in the water so if it melts it makes no difference whatsoever to sea levels. So if the entirety of the Arctic region thawed and melted the rise in sea level would be 0.

If ice that has formed on land melts then that melt water will flow into oceans and add to the rise of sea levels but not all of that water will flow into oceans. As the world warms the air becomes more capable of holding water and up to 30% of that melt water will go in to the atmosphere instead of in to the oceans. That means much more dense cloud cover around the world and much more humid conditions, also much more rain everywhere and much more flooding.

Much of the ice shelf that surrounds the Antarctic continent has already melted and it's getting smaller year by year, when that disappears antarctic glaciers will be able to flow in to the ocean much more freely and at a much faster rate, that is likely to contribute far more to rising sea levels than any ice melt in the northern hemisphere.

Sea level rises of just a few inches are enough to devastate and wipe out many communities around the world though and a lot of small tropical islands are disappearing, some people are already being repatriated to Australia, their homelands are vanishing under the waves. There are also many low lying countries such as The Netherlands and Bangladesh that are already feeling the impact of rising sea levels.

@thejuice This is an old clip but this chant is absolutely deafening lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ Doesn't do justice to hearing it in person though.
(I don't think there are any swears in it, sorry to the mods if there are)
They've lost a bunch of games lately, so this chant hasn't been around much unfortunately. But my husband and I randomly quote it all the time.

"Wonderful atmosphere" lmao
