Polarized spurts of attention over long periods of time.

Has anyone else ever had problems with hyperfocusing on everything for a couple weeks at a time, and then all of the sudden have issues focusing on anything for weeks or months?

I tend to be able to accomplish a lot in 2-3 week period, and then can't pay attention to anything for 6-8 weeks, like I used up all of my attention hit points and they need to replenish.

Well, not for as extended a period of time as you are talking about, but yes. Intense hyperfocus can tire out the brain. Maybe in my case, it's a couple or three weeks, max.

I can hyper-focus forever if l like It. I don't seem to care one way or the other. I spent months figuring out bad code on my computer so my daughter could play her games. I have zero training, l just used my ability to notice patterns of code that didn't seem to fit in.
