Plot holes or not?

What's something everyone says is a plot hole when it's really not?

For me it's Joseph Joestar from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure not using Hermit Purple to find Kira. And DIO using Hermit Purple (check the link if you don't know what Hermit Purple is.)

Also for those who don't know what a plot hole is:
"...a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic established by the story's plot."

So you're saying that him failing to use the purple vines
doesn't go against the logic of the story?

If that's what you're saying, how does Joestar not using the
vines support the logical flow of the story?

Because he wouldn't have found Kira. Hermit Purple would have just found an unrelated person due to the high number of stand users in Morioh.

And on top of that, using your stand a lot when you're old will kill you.
