I understand you need methods to help more aggressive individuals on the spectrum to cope, but...a cage...seriously?
What the hell was going through those people's heads when they approved that?!

Regardless of our differences great and small, we are still human beings and still deserve respect. This is not respectable or acceptable - ever.

Yes, and spent over AU$5000 on it. They could have spent that on getting outside help, investing in a chill out space, something else...

The only positive I can see coming from this is that it has indeed proven a wake up call.
 
I was so angry when this news broke. What was so shocking to me was that it happened in Australia's capital city!
 
Sad to see it but not surprised. I'll bet that they still feel right in what they did.
It stood for 14 days before it was dismantled so I assume at least one person if not more had the decency to report and stop this.
 
what is that the band storage room? That's really f*cked up, don't they have like, detention halls? :(
