people noise

Voltaic

Darth Binks is real.
chewing, grumbling stomachs, burping, coughing, sneezing... people are noisy things. i find the noise they make to be unsettling to the core. i cant eat with others unless there is backround noise, someone sneezing sends me up the walls, it is starting to become a bit of a problem.

i find backround conversations to have a weird effect. with the sound comes more information. if i am already overstimulated, a backround conversation ca be a prossesing load i cant deal with. my mind is always thinking in one way or another, and not being able to control my mind away from singling out something i dont want to hear, can lead to my head thinking about bad things.

and certain voices can be particulary annoying.

what noises made by people just drive you bonkers?

Oddly enough in comparison I'm more driven by sounds which are either very high or very low on the Hertz range and at high volume. Organic or synthetic sounds...doesn't really matter.

But yes, a single uninvited conversation can prove very disruptive to me if I' trying to listen to something else nearby.

Back ground conversion is ok unless some one is talking to me, then it's hard to process.

One of my kids (4yrs) can't remember to eat with her mouth closed and the clacking sound drives me nuts sometimes.

Kids shrieking - I have 2 girls, 4 and 6 and one boy 2. The noise can get unbearable very fast.

In fact most of my worst noises right now are kid noises.

Tapping spoons, kicking tables while eating.

Crying.

Interrupting.

The oldest is like me, aspie and ADHD but very emotional and prone to meltdowns and constant whinging.

The middle girl is NT (probably) and exists to wind her sister up, and to be the most stubborn intractable human that has ever existed.

Fun times, but our house is a chaotic, noisy mess at the moment.

Whistling, especially when they put two fingers in their mouth to do it.
Kids shrieking.
Someone sniveling with a runny nose.
Tutting.
Talkshows where the guest all talk at the same time and/or shout.
Commercials with over-excited vocals.
When a student that I teach on Skype is chewing gum or eating or slurping or sneezes.
People talking too loudly, or over the top of each other. That leads to overload.

The English comic john bishop talked about spending time at home with his wife..

He said ' you know when she's just sitting there
And she just...
Breathes'

So breathing.
