It is my understanding that with PPD there can be certain amount cognitive and linguistic impairment and with AS there is not. I'm sure it's not that simple and may be very different in the new DSM. I am looking forward to anymore information on this, as I would like to know too. What is the difference between Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) and Asperger? I heard they are quite similar, but PDD has different characteristics. Can someone explain the difference between them, because I'm a little confused.
