After dealing with customers in the shop I had to get away .
I went into town ,my focus was very short, only seeing what was directly in front.

People everywhere, easy to go into panic mode.
I kept a lid on it .

I tried to work out what I was feeling. I couldn't.

I said all these people are like me. But that didn't convince me at all .

I'm not scared of people, I have no idea what gets me into this .

I deal with people and I need to get away from them .

I also end up feeling alone .
So what end of these feelings am I meant to be at

I couldn't say what end of these feelings you're supposed to be at.

I could say that it's a great idea to take a minute after dealing with lots of customers :)

It can be draining and quite a task to keep up indefinitely.
Don't panic if you feel you need a quick minute to take a deep breath and pause before dealing with the next gaggle of customers.

I sometimes found that focusing on something completely different such as putting out stock, tidying shelves, mopping a floor was adequate as a break from the customers and after doing such I was more relaxed to deal with the next customer.

I also reminded myself that whilst there maybe a whole group of customers in store I can serve but one at a time so just gave my focus to one at a time.
Less overwhelming. :)

Identifying feelings is hard. I struggle but focusing on mindfulness and awareness helps. I think it is really positive that you know that you feel overwhelmed. At least you can identify when you feel this way.
Now you need to work out what to do when you feel overwhelmed that calms you down. Easy, right? o_O

@Gracey makes a great suggestion to focus your attention on another task that does not involve people.

Oh, and all those people are not like you. Telling yourself that may be counter-productive. You are you and don't need to be like them. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Not being scared of people is not the only cause of panic attacks. Sometimes I find it is the noise, the intense focus during conversations, having to interpret what they mean from what they say, finding the right words in a timely manner to respond ... next time take a minute to see if you can identify something that made you feel the most uncomfortable. Was it how they were talking to you? Their tone of voice? How long the interaction took? Thinking how many customers you still had to address? Break it down.

I don't want to be in the situation, I'm just coping.
I think a lot is feeling out of control.
Trying to balance what they want against what I can give .
Plus I'm full on in my act of it can cope .
Can' keep that going look good term .

In town people are like a wall of cattle.
