Only an NT would do that...

Bought a nice Nikon camera for my little girl,

It charges over USB.

Theinstructions say only to use the included charger and cable - DO NOT EVER USE A MOBILE PHONE CABLE OR CHARGER. (emphasis in actual manual).

It's a UNIVERSAL serial bus adaptor (USB)! (emphasis added from sheer frustration).

What part of Standards Compliant don't you guys understand!

What have those crazy NTs done that winds you up?

Gullible are those who believe that only a cord purchased from the maker of the camera will work. Goes back to the dawn of consumer electric devices. Old tube radios often had stickers on the chassis admonishing the buyers to only use Philco, RCA, etc. tubes when any tube of the right type would work just fine.

Ah I see.

I've ignored the instructions and lost the cable :D

It's sad really that people don't take 5 minutes to check before wasting money. My car needs special ATF fluid that costs $50 per litre and you can only buy from Toyota [cough]********[/cough]

I am afraid that I would take that literally and that is not knowing technology to the extent that would tell me to not take literally.

We do not by original printer inks, due to excess price and each time we go to print something, up pops a window to say that printing errors are likely to occur, because we detect you are not using epson's own, click here to purchase. I close window and printing starts and no issue, but do have a sense of: what is going to go wrong?

I've worked with IT hardware professionally for many years.

Nothing is likely to go wrong.

Epson make a loss on the printers and try to make money on the cartridges, and that's all the nagware is trying to do.

You can usually remove the nagware, keep the drivers and it will still work ok.

Like people who buy HDMI cables that are like £20. You can buy them on amazon for £3, but because it's more expensive, it must be better right?

good god! to many things to note. :D

the worst is when they talk to you like your brain dead because they either recognise or know you have the label of [mild!] intellectual disability and severe autism and they think they are amazing because theyre being nice to me in public [such as someone who works on a till] and they play up to it,to look good in front of other people; but in reality theyre patronising me like crazy and i feel like kicking them up the arse and telling them im a bloody human being to and probably know infinitely more than they do about computers, psychology and animals.
i get this off A LOT off NTs.
