On-Line Autism Tests...?

Crossbreed

Neur-D Missionary ☝️

I want to make a blog post/index page of on-line autism tests to recommend to new members. I could just Google them, but I prefer to list only those that are recommended by our members. These could give a clue on if further pursuit is warranted.

I am looking for on-line IQ tests & personality tests (like Myers-Briggs, etc.), too. If they are legitimate, they can help a person to better understand themselves.

You can do what I did with gathering autism chats in one place, add them in a Resource on this website.

These are the ones I've more or less been posting here for years:

Autism Quotient (AQ): The Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ)

Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale: The Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale-Revised (RAADS-R)

Free IQ Test: Free IQ Test - Fast, Free and Accurate Online IQ Test

Attention Deficit Disorder: Attention Deficit Disorder Test.

Face Memory: Face Memory Test

Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale: Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale | HealthyPlace

Jung/Myers Briggs: The Myers & Briggs Foundation - MBTI® Basics

I took the following before I was diagnosed. In my particular case, and I can only speak for myself of course, they were accurate since I was later professionally diagnosed and I scored "off the charts" on the formal tests according to my autism assessment therapist.

AQ-43 (32-50 indicates a strong likelihood of Asperger syndrome or autism).
EQ-14 out of 80
Rdos: Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 173 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 39 of 200
You are very likely neurodiverse (Aspie)

Completed the free I.Q. test.

I know, I.Q. tests don't really measure intelligence, if only because there are so many different kinds of intelligence. Still, it feels good to have a simple, meaningless number that I can latch on to and use for the purpose of telling people, "Ha, ha, look at me, I'm smarter than you!" :D

If that is your goal, be sure to leave out "because the internet said so..."

I failed an autism assessment but my sig shows otherwise.

Around 1 in 10 people are part of the broader autism phenotype. Less than 1 in 50 meet the criteria for an autism spectrum disorder. It looks like you are probably part of the broader autism phenotype but the assessor thinks most of your problems are caused by something else.

Yeah he said "some other explanation" He also put it down to ADHD, I went for ADHD test and the ADHD nurse thought I had it so invited me to see the specialist, but on the day I wanted to go sober and couldn't face it, so tried to reschedule. In the meantime, after receiving no letter, the funding got cut. I received a letter about my ADHD interview which totally contradicted what I said in the interview, it said I sounded scripted and could not go back for further assessments until I am drug free. I am on a large dose of valium which is taking ages to get off. I have asked my psychiatrist to refer me to autism assessor again, hope I get the diagnosis because without it I feel really vulnerable being expected to meet the demands of a neurotypical. I can't work, am on benefits, in the UK, an autism diagnosis would be handy, not just for money reasons, but because if they see me as a neurotyipcal lazy druggie, I fear they may take my benefits off me.

Most people with autistic traits/"neurodiverse" are able to work and don't have the problems you've described. Your autistic traits may certainly contribute to your problems but they aren't the cause of them. It's hard to assess ADHD if you're using drugs because it affects the test results. If I were you, I'd focus on other causes of your problems. While you may have ADHD, based on your posts, I'd say there are other causes that are more important such as depression, anxiety, or another condition. Drug rehab or whatever the doctor recommends to get off the drugs you're using and CBT for depression, anxiety, or whatever is causing your problems will probably be more helpful.

I "know" I am autistic. When I took my assessment they asked my mum to complete a questionnaire and all her answers were consistent with autism, she even took me to see the doctor at 9mths as I was emotionally distant, and couldn't make eye contact. She said I used to stare, still do, and stim.
I and my deeds and thoughts are the cause of my current problems.
I agree it's hard to assess ADHD if you're using drugs because it affects the test results, it's just that the diazepam I am on is taking ages to come off.
Depression and anxiety for me have always had underlying causes, being different and excluded as a kid, bullied, making errors and not learning from them etc etc
I'm tapering off the Benzes.
I tried CBT I don't think it works, 2% approximately of the strategies I have tried work.
Thanks though

Understood.

Depression and anxiety for me have always had underlying causes, being different and excluded as a kid, bullied, making errors and not learning from them etc etc

I used to think I was depressed for the same reasons but science has shown it's not possible. I recently started a thread titled "Misunderstandings" to explain what causes those problems.

I tried CBT I don't think it works, 2% approximately of the strategies I have tried work.
Thanks though

A series of CBT sessions didn't work for me either. However, I used the principles of CBT to overcome most of my problems on my own and explained how I did it in my blog if you're interested.

I'am lucky to not take meds for Autism.I can usually stay level but some days are better than others wife helps me with it.

AFAIK, meds only treat co-morbid conditions. (I only take seasonal allergy meds.)

A man with no friends and repetitive behaviuors as a child (now disappeared) can be diagnosed with ASD. There is no clear difference between NT with some autistic tendencies and ASD 1.
