Oh hai, I'm back!!

After many months of being absent from this site, I am finally back! I am glad to say that Aspies Central did actually help me figure out a lot as to what to do in different social situations. Before, I was afraid to speak to anyone at my school because I was worried that the wrong words would come out of my mouth. But nope! People are finally accepting me for my quirkiness, and not being weirded out by my shyness.

I have gained so many friends and I'm happy in school. I love band and am currently OBSESSED with music. I love to listen, play, and perform music. I currently play marimba/vibes/other mallet percussion instruments, flute, drum set, and learning piano and trumpet. I was even my marching band's drum major this past year! I spend much of my free time creating ideas for or composing my own songs.

Wow!
I was fortunate enough to have had similar experiences myself.
I used to not talk, but I found the most amazing friends in my second year of high school, and it was their company, in addition to my own research on AS, that helped me grow confidence in myself. Now I can speak quite confidently (though thankfully, not too much! )
I would rate your post 'inspirational' if such a button existed on here. Oh well, you get a winner badge instead.
