oddities while eating

Aww you're a lot like my Mum, who is middle aged or older as well. She is the same, she talks about reflux and she even has a problem in her mouth while eating . (P.S. She's diagnosed with terminal cancer and has new brain tumours, but she's still alive and kicking)
If I eat too fast, it just validates Sir Issac Newton (in reverse).

That what goes down will come back up. Quickly and unceremoniously. :eek:

I think some people eat to live and others live to eat. I'm definitely the former type of person. I love food, cooking, reading recipes, savor anything that tastes delicious, and eat at a normal pace. If I gobble down food without properly chewing and swallowing, then I can get a stomachache or indigestion.

Another thing - I like to walk around for 10 or 15 minutes after eating because it seems to improve digestion, like allowing the food to settle evenly and prompt production of healthy gastric juices in my stomach. That may be a misconception, but I always feel more satisfied with a meal if I take a short walk.

@Stuttermabolur

I use to eat incredible slow. I also am guilty or OCD about pushing things around on my plate if l am stuck and trying to drag out some time at a social event. Because if you finish quickly, then you are staring at your plate. I also like to get equal amounts of everything on my fork, which means lots of omelets, because you divy up all the tomatoes, onions, protein and serve it as a giant goulash of la egg supreme.
