hi, i'm desi (no capital letters, please - long story).

i'm 30-something, buddhist, disabled, a knitter, a crazy cat lady with no cats, a childless mother, a nerdfighter, polyamourous bixseual genderfluid mess.

any questions, i'm happy to answer... probably slowly.

Hello desi and welcome to AC! No capitals it shall be then :) Ah well, Buddhist is good - Im a Taoist, so it's good to see another person similar... :)

ooh, very cool! :balanced:

:) Ive been waiting to use that symbol for ages, so glad you've found it too! :) Yep, life became sooooo much easier when I discovered Taoism, and that I thought pretty much like that without having to read it first! It became v clear once I read it. Dont think many people do. If they were forced to, I wonder how many people would "get it" as it's a state of mind thing isn't it?

Ahem, anyway, hope to see you around AC! :wavespin:

oh, agreed. buddhism for me was more of an ah-ha! moment than a change. i don't agree with following a religion because family does anymore... someone once said "god speaks to us all a little differently, hoping we'll tell each other" i think perhaps they neglected to add that it's also so we can each understand in our own way.
