Welcome Joshua :)

Yes, I know I have, and quite a few others here can relate too. Sometimes it helps to talk about your interests, to help get it out in the open, and out of our systems; or at least lessen the intensity of our fixation on them.

You can always start a thread for your topics, and talk it out, or try posting on the obsessions outlet thread:

I also have this brain issue. Is it a repetitive thought process? Don't try to solve problems in bed. Avoid book reading unless something purposely boring. Don't read anything interesting to you.
I click on the New York Times app on the iPad in 'nightmode' and go over the sports page. Horribly boring especially the scoreboards....Works most of the time.

I have the same problem. My solution is to read till I can't stay awake anymore and just let the book fall on my face as I fall asleep.

But sometimes it gets me in dreams too. One time was after working on the satellite dish all day, making adjustments to get the arc to track correctly. All night was just a constant stream of numbers pouring through my head and I woke up with a headache.
