New Shareholder and Partner in Sleep Number Mattresses

Former (?) Kansas City Chiefs football star Travis Kelce has become a partner in what amounts to being a major shareholder in the famed "Sleep Number" mattress maker.

Reminds me of Davy Crokett's image put onto children's mattresses, where a radio announcer made a dubious advertising faux pas about seeing Crockett's image "in action on the mattress".

I'm guessing neither Travis Kelce or Taylor Swift are contemplating that...but with such enthusiastic fans, who knows?

Exclusive: NFL star Travis Kelce takes stake in mattress maker Sleep Number

My mattress would have a very high number if I had one of them. But instead I simply placed a one-inch thick melamine desktop between my mattress and boxsprings.

Works as if it were "sleep number 250". But without any images....lol.

Personally, I don't care what the glitterati does with their money. Travis is getting old and his football team isn't exactly doing great right now. Taylor is so rich, she could pay off the national debt if she wanted to.

Just hope he doesn't become like that "My Pillow" dude. ;)

Just looking at their stock price and that is one that, personally, I wouldn't touch. Over the last 3 months it's a nice picture at 113% growth, but then at 6 months going back it's only been around 28% growth, but moving to the 12 month time span they show being down -35%, go to the 5 year and it's down -89%. This doesn't give me the impression of a sound long term investment.

Agreed.

But then I wonder if the other shareholders with controlling interest are thinking of the publicity and advertising potential? Her more than him....:p

I'd need considerably more resources to even think about it. I'd have to sleep on it.
