New posts not shown unless its a new thread?

I notice that when a new thread is created it is shown on the list of topics on the right side of the screen.
However if it is a new post on an old thread it is not.
I have posted a new post on an older thread titled Autism and Anxiety/PTSD which is not shown in the new posts list. This makes my post not viewed by most people.
Am I missing something?

I discovered that a couple of days ago. New posts on old threads don't get a whole lot of response.

Not sure if I should make new thread for this one, I think maybe I'm too much to say. Hardly hear from you Ken...
So post away.

Yeah. The new post wedgit isn't reliable. The 'what's new' lightning bolt icon will take you to a page that shows you every thread that currently has recent activity.
