greetings im 24 yeas old and new here. i have had aspergers syndrome for most of my life. i dont know when i was diagnosed but i know ive had it for awhile given ive had to take meds in order to help me at school. i came here to see if i can meet new people in person since the internet socializing scene isnt cutting it for me anymore and the only people i really see are my coworkers. i dont have any brothers or sisters and no 1st cousins either and i dont have any family in connecticut (that is the state i live in) so family gathers are few and far between. i dont see my childhood friends anymore since theyve moved on with their lives and my high school classmates dont keep in touch with me at all. i gave my cellphone to my coworkers hoping they would keep me in the loop on any social gatherings but thats falling flat fast. i also came here looking for help.i dont know of any support groups in ct that help people who have aspergers syndrome directly and not the parents of the individual itself. so if anyone knows of any groups that can help me itd be great. thanks for reading and im hoping to make new friends soon.

Welcome :)

Perhaps if you could tell us where you are from, then others can determine if there are services near you, or if they are in your area; should they too wish for a face-to-face friendship as well.

Edit: haha, my bad. Must have missed the part that you mention you're from Connecticut :P
