Just wanted to introduce myself before hopping in! I am a 36yo mom and stepmom. My twin girls are 6 and my stepson is 9. My husband and I are continually frustrated by our struggles with DS9 and are looking for ways to help him thrive. I'm going to post a thread of his symptoms since we are suspecting AS. I am also looking for opinions on aspergersexperts.com.

Thanks!!!
Lauris :)

Welcome Lauris. you will probably find more real life experience here, than any so called experts.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Reminds me of a song that two autistic guys wrote.

People plan and specialise and try to understand and recognise
but then they find they're unprepared and come and question why

Hi Lauris and welcome,
This truly is a great site for seeing how the Asperger community lives it live's, and how they support each other. Hope this site helps you and your family the same way it helps us. The science behind Aspergers is important, but the application of this knowledge is easier, when seen through the eyes, of people who live it
Cheers
