My wolf has PDA?

I have my oldest wolf camping with me. It's hot, and I had set down a pan of water for her. She showed not the slightest interest, so I splashed my fingers in the water to get her attention, and even touched her muzzle with the wet fingers. No response. THE MINUTE I walked away, she went over and drank half the water. Several times when I wanted her to f 20250729_154329.webpollow me around the woods, she just stayed in camp. But when I walked off without waking her nap several times, I hear her panting down the trail following me
Seems like she doesn't want me telling her what to do.
 
A wolf after your own heart, perhaps?
She seems to agree with you that clothes are not necessary.
 
This post caused me to search about PDA, because it did not fit that it was Public Display of Affection as I have know PDA to mean.
The demand avoidance subject is one I never encountered before and wow, it explains a lot about what I deal with. A whole lot LOL 😂

She is beautiful-- can I ask what is life like living with a wolf (wolves)? I've always wondered.
 
I decided early on to have them spayed/neutered so that they would remain gentle. I also don't give them red meat for the same reason. They eat regular dog food. The two males are brothers but not littermates. They're a year and a half apart age-wise. The female is their half sister. Same father but different mothers. They keep each other entertained when no one is home.
I get a kick out of introducing new people to the wolfies. I made a T shirt saying "Did you pet your inner wolf today?"
Whenever there is a siren in the distance, The female starts a mournful howl and the boys chime in. This usually happens several times a day.
