My son was diagnosed Aspergers today

He is DEFINITELY Aspie... I was diagnosed 2 months ago and took him to a different provider and they saw it in him as well. Now what? I am hoping to get the school to accomodate him better. Has anyone here gone through the hoops with schools yet?

Unfortunately, I don't know very much about what to do with the schools. Does he have specific issues that arise at school? How old is he?
I din't know providers will still use the term "aspergers" in a diagnosis even after the changes in the DSM.

When he writes his recommendation he won't use the term - he'll call it autism spectrum. I just need to navigate this to get my son the help he needs. He's going into 6th grade.
