My Latest Hope & Dream: Sci-Fi Comedy

My latest dream is to create a fun little series based off a tabletop game I heard about: Teenagers From Outer Space. Here's what I planned out so far, in my head:
  • The setting is Denton, Texas in the year 1997.
  • While the leading boy is a human, three of his major friends/three of the other main characters are aliens. Also, while these guys are the main characters, other non-main characters may get episodes centering on them.
  • The human male lead and his love interest (Another human) are based off the human leads from the 1986 cult classic cartoon Galaxy High. Rather loosely. Likewise, one of the lead's friends will be an Expy of Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner. A lot of characters may or may not be Expies.
