@Misery - I expect you to respond to this poll.

Everyone else, do you love Mountain Dew like I do?

I like the Zero Sugar Baja Blast, personally.

I gave up soda pops, but mountain dew was probably my second favorite behind root beer in times past.

Funny, years ago when I'd have a terrible headache I used to take Excedrin with a Mountain Dew chaser. Must have been as close as it gets to using Cocaine. :p

Needless to say I wouldn't dream of doing that to this old body. But it left me with fond memories of Mountain Dew when I worked in high tech.

Glad you're embracing the sugar-free kind. The only soda I drink occasionally now is Fresca. Had to give up the watered down fruit juice when I discovered it had high fructose corn syrup...very bad for arthritis/gout.

As much as I adore Coca Cola I almost never drink it.

Soda is disgusting. I call it "dirty water". Anything with bubbles - yuck!

Yes, I am here, as per protocol.

*ahem*

I generally have 2 bottles of it each day, shortly after getting up.

It's the traditional flavor, I'm not much for variation.

Caffeine, yep, sugar, yep.

Now the routine used to be that I'd go down to the gas station each day and get a fountain drink, 32oz I think it is. I havent done that in awhile, since I'm dealing with... other issues. So, anxiety has kept me out.

But I've been there so many times that a typical cashier interaction would go like this:

I walk up, they smile and nod, "got the money?" I follow it up with "yep". They hold out their hand, I drop exactly $1.10 into it, smile and nod, back to my car.

Granted there can be issues with the fountains. I tell ya, hitting the button and getting a cup of spiders is definitely an experience. That kind of issue is pretty common. Does that stop me from getting the drink when it happens? No it does not. Pour that out, cup back in, hit lever. Hope it ran out of spiders. Profit.

The worst though is when the fountain runs out of syrup and it spits out the super watery version. My day is ruined.

Also bad is opening a bottle of it and it's all flat. Or it explodes because someone who definitely isnt me dropped it.

Recently, I'm getting more confident and such, I'm looking forward to going back there again. Not just for the Dew, the gas station is sort of a special place to me.

Nope. Even when I drank soda. I avoided Mountain Dew like the plague. After trying it a few times, in the past. I cannot justify it.

Too much caffeine and WAAAAAAYYYYYY to much damn sugar.

Seriously. Who ever formulated it was determined to make everyone diabetic. You can taste the flippin sugar particles in Mountain Dew, it's so saturated with it. Who seriously likes that texture? Liquid chemical lab with sugar particles.

What are "spiders"?

"Spiders" are spiders. Or other bugs.

Little guys, they've got a lot of legs.

The flaw with fountains is that the stuff can attract bugs, which can go up the spout. It's one of those things where there really just isnt much that can be done about it. Granted there's probably fountain designs that prevent it, but none of the ones I've seen in my area have any sort of design like that.

Mountain dew code red is so good

Baja blast from the soda fountain at taco bell is so good (I miss it a lot)

Mountain Dew zero is so good too

Don't waste the spiders. That's extra protein for you. Spiders + Dew = a protein breakfast drink.

never understood the appeal of mountain dew tbh

way too sweet and artificial (yes, yes i know all soda is artificially flavored but like y'know it's one of those very much tastes artificial type deals).

also i associate too much with early 2000s cringy hardcore GAMERZZZZ xtreme sports for me to seriously even want to consider drinking it
