@Judge Are you saying that you did the house cleaning jobs on a volunteer basis to gain work experience?

LOL....Nope. I'm retired. No need for work experience or a resume these days. But I enjoyed learning about "Citizen Science". Which might turn out to be right up your alley.

Unfortunately my OCD "volunteers" me for all kinds of household chores....whether I want to do them or not. And it doesn't allow me to procrastinate for very long. Having to walk out into the ice and rain, I already made a mess of my foyer at the front door. Had to clean that up quickly....sometimes I just don't get a break!

Figured out how to turn the washing machine off.

When I got up, I saw that it was on, although I hadn't
turned it on. Was flashing "sensing." I thought if I
put a blanket in, it would 'sense' it and start washing.

Nope.

I tried pressing the button and counting to 3 since the
directions for Reset said to hold the button down for
three seconds.

Nope.

I tried again, counting slower, to 4 this time.

Yay.
Washing machine turned off.

I have used up my techno-expertise for the day.
And mentally adding "can turn on the washing machine" to
my cats' resumes.

It was the ghost in the machine.

Experienced the excitement of buying a new toilet. Somehow, the tank on the old one cracked, and it's 30 years out of date so I can't replace just the tank.

The good part is that, according to the box, THIS toilet is powerful enough to flush 8 pool balls, all at once.

I am dizzy with anticipation.
