List just one thing you did today

I found out that my true name has been pronounced wrong forever (thanks America / English). Mine and everyone else with said same name spelling, of course. Irish / Scottish Gaelic only had 18 letters. So, certain letter combinations made the J sound - certain letter combos make the OOH sound, and so on. It's weird to know that my name has been wrongly pronounced my whole life. Oops.

I made a potato, cheese and bacon casserole this morning for my friend whose 20-year-old granddaughter was killed in an accident last night. She was riding her motorcycle and was broadsided by a car. I don't who was at fault but it's tragic. The least I can do is to take the family some food.

Took care of my smog check and annual registration for my car. A relatively painful process given all the automation except for the fees.

Also did the monthly grocery shopping a little early.

Looked around my back yard to try to see the cicadas, which are making all kinds of music. No luck finding one but they are everywhere.

We had cicadas everywhere over here back in May. They're gone now, though.

As for what I did today, my brother had an appointment today and me and mom went with him. Afterwards, we ate at Applebee's and shopped at Food City.
