Just learned I'm an Aspie...

Yeah I'm not fearful of interaction--in fact, I'm pretty well balanced between extroversion and introversion. And again I've adapted to my situation pretty well, and since church is a key interest of mine, I'm more eager to communicate in this context. But in general, I avoid eye contact and small talk as much as possible. I have to be comfortable with the context before I open up to anyone.

Also, I met my wife online! Which was wonderful for us. I don't think I would have ever worked up the courage to talk to her unless she had walked into the church where I worked. Any other context would have been off-limits for me, but online was great! By the time we met in person we had talked a good bit and found we had a lot of common interests and a similar lifestyle. She's NT but she loves me for being an Aspie. She knew I was an Aspie even when we were dating, but I have only now realized the truth. I feel very lucky indeed!

The Lord looked after you well! It is so encouraging to hear how He has great plans for us all.
