Welcome!

Mixed feelings are quite common to start one's journey with, but also when we look back at things as well. For example, there are things that I could have done differently, but I'm not sure I'd actually want to go back in time and change them and end up in a different trajectory as I'm kind of okay with where I am and who I am right now.

Do you have any special interests you wish to share? We have a wide variety of members from all walks of life here. So it's a very lively forum.

I have some specific life interests, yes. But primarily I think the biggest challenge I am facing (and what brought me here) is discovering late in life that I am autistic, and very high-masking in neurotypical environments which require me to be a charismatic and extroverted leader. I am none of those 3 things by nature. Cultivating that avatar over the course of my life has mostly led to complete exhaustion rather than fulfillment. Maybe someone else can relate who has developed some coping strategies.

We have quite a lot of posts here on masking. There probably is a active post with this exact subject. Alot of us drop the mask as we age. I notice quite a few members don't like confrontation and also mask as a coping skill. That does sound difficult to be in a leadership role, and mask as a NT for eight hours.
