Judgement Issues

Keith

Well-Known Member
I've noticed over the years that I have judgement issues. I sometimes for some reason go against my better judgement, and have sometimes had to force myself not to do that.

I tend to do that, too. It's hard to force myself to do what I feel is right instead of what I want to do or what others want me to do.

Exactly what happens to me. If someone forces me to do something I don't want to do, I often don't do it. Because I feel so forced into doing tasks that I don't want to do... So in a way, I do go against what some people say to me. - If I get forced to do something, and get told what to do, my family never drops it and tells me "it's for your own good". - But what I'd like is an explanation. Otherwise, I just feel threatened by something that I don't want to do.

Maybe it's one of my traits... Who knows.

We aspies have much in common with the onager that way.

I tend to sit and dig hooves in when pressured, and especially when feeling maniuplated in any direction. Those who know me and are wise have learned to
1. be upfront and value judgment free about what they want from me
2. give me a minute to decide for myself
3. if it's something inconvenient or that I'm opposed to, sweeten the pot in some way
If everything is thusly aboveboard, I can be quite flexible and accomodating. Manipulate, pressure or try to deny me a choice, and hooo boy, it's on.
