Itchiness

Does anyone suffer from extreme itchiness? I assume it is related to my aspergers, but I am itchy all over my body and it is driving me insane. I do not know what to do. Does anyone suffer through this symptom? Do any of you have some solutions? At times it is so bad that I cannot concentrate on anything but itching for like 30 minutes straight.

Is your skin dry, ashy, or red/irritated?
Have you tried lotion?
Consulted your doctor?
Eczema?
Soap too harsh?
Hard water?

Lotion does not seem to help much. I do have some rashes, so I have dry skin in some areas. But this does not seem to be the cause necessarily. I think my extreme sensitivity from aspergers to part of the problem.

Have you tried a no dye no perfume laundry detergent, or various types of fabric softener?
I am sensitive to such things. And clothing. However, itchiness in general is not a aspergers symptom, to my knowledge. Sensitivity is...

I had a bad run for an entire summer that was a result of irritation from Tide laundry soap.

Have you been to a doctor? You could be having a reaction to your clothes, laundry detergent (Persil makes me itch like mad), parasites, or it could be a symptom of something more serious such as kidney disease or cancer.
I've never heard of itchiness being related to AS.
