Is cold fusion possible

Uranium mine in Africa. plus a few others places, also a few experimental anomalies. I thought it was a lost cause until I saw Julian Schwinger. opinion on it.

Have you seen old mock ups of cold fusion "coils" that are supposedly what would be used?

Now, go watch the stuff on what the Italian scientists are claiming runs underneath the pyramids in Giza. It's quite the new rabbit hole, but it's a fun one.

I had many debates years ago with my buddy who has since passed away, when this first came out, Always had a gut feeling it was dismissed to fast.

I haven't looked in detail how it works. Didn't they make accelerators and collide the nuclei? I'm not sure how exactly would that work in a natural manner, in what kind of natural environment. For sure not on Earth. Maybe beams of plasma around magnetars or similar bodies? Fusion at high temperatures is about nuclei colliding too, except the motion is random (temperature is kinetic energy).

Probably, some how related to quantum tunnelling. If I had a hypothesis, Nobel prize. No temperature involved lots of heat produced.

How quantum tunneling? Quantum tunneling is when a particle (e.g. an electron) passes a barrier of potential because of probability, not when particles (or nuclei) collide. Quantum tunneling has nothing to do with any kind of tunnels, literal or mataphorical

I find so videos your guess is as good as mine either way Julian Schwinger did not rule it out and he knew his physics.
This is one route there could be others.
