Hello everyone. My name is Alysa I’m 33 and I just got diagnosed with ASD less than a week ago. My Dr wants me to meet other autistic adults and so do I. I don’t really know exactly what to say, but I like playing the sims, shopping, sharks, dinosaurs, Taylor swift and music in general. I love to read, I’ve been on a dystopian kick but I read horror and thriller and mystery a lot too. I’m really friendly but shy. It’s nice to meet you!

Hi @izzy13
Welcome to the Forums, we are a mixed bunch in here.

You mentioned dinosaurs as an interest.
THere is a programme on UK TV called Dinosaur -which is about a lady with autism. It is a good programme.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Your doctor gave you good advice, no matter how much people study autism they can never truly understand unless they are living it.

Welcome @izzy13, good to have you with us. SF is one of my all-time favourite genres, and there are so many dystopian-themed stories about now. (More than when I was reading SF when young - when I come to think of it, there seems to have been a shift over recent years. I wonder what that says…)
