So many of the people charged with the care and investigation of these children not only dehumanized them but also demonized them. As an example, Lovaas literally treated autistic people like rats, saying that “they are not people in the psychological sense.

…And that's why I'd never trust anything Lovaas said, thought, or came up with.

Oh hey, the book with the mismatched butterfly wings. Although now I wonder if it's two different butterflies saying hello. Anywho, I'm getting rather fond of Silberman. I may have to get a copy of that book.

Still can't stand Kanner. Anybody else think he looks like Nicholas Cage?
