DogwoodTree
Still here...
My understanding is that this is fairly common among aspies, so hopefully no one will think I'm insane, lol.
I carry on conversations in my head with other people. I know these "voices" aren't real entities...just my own imagination. So it's not a schizophrenia kind of thing. But I have imaginary conversations with other people, or with myself.
So, getting to my question. Sometimes the voice that represents my thoughts takes on the foreign accent of someone I've listened to recently, like if I've been watching an Australian on YouTube or something, then I start hearing my voice with that accent, or even hearing the other person's voice (like...it could be a male voice or a really high-pitched female voice or something) whenever I think verbal thoughts. I'm not always thinking verbally--I think in pictures a lot. But the verbal thoughts are more like I'm mentally talking to myself.
Does this happen to anyone else? It's like that accent gets stuck in my head, and even my thoughts are affected. Does this make any sense at all?
