In Search Of A Nice Romantic Comedy

Had to take off from work again today due to "plumbing problems" and would very much like to watch a nice romantic comedy to help relax me. Anyone have any ideas?
(It would have to be available from Amazon or Netflix.)
 
Oddly enough, it is both a girl and guy movie. Not a chick flick, but the women I know (for what that is worth), have all loved it.
PS. It stars Micheal Douglas.
 
I love Michael Douglas! He's a great actor. I'll give it a try then and let you know what I think of it. I'm sure you wouldn't pick a dud. :)

This isn't exactly "Romantic" but it is a comedy with Michael Douglas. How about The War of the Roses? It has some "romantic moments" :P
 
My thinking about romantic comedies is...most of them don't really fit the term. In order for the term to fit, the movie has to be fundamentally a comedy, with "romantic" being a modifier. Most of those that I know are better called comic romances.

So, what's a good genuine romantic comedy? Amélie. (When you're reading the subtitles, understand that the word "scurf" originates from the French "peau mort", which translates literally as "dead skin". Now you know.)

I must disagree with you Matt, Everything about this movie is romantic starting with the title. Romance through out the movie and a romantic ending. Even the idea of the plot is a romantic one.
Sorry you don't feel that way but I respect our differences.
That being said, I think that holding the door for a lady is romantic. Some find it offensive.
