I'm bored. Need some geniune suggestions.

'Bout Ye?
So I had a good weekend and did some socialising with friends. I know it's only Monday but i'm really getting bored again. I will probably be in my room most of the week until I meet up with people at the weekend. Problem is, most people are at college or at work so it's hard to arrange things during weekdays. I've spent a lot of time on the forums here but I can't spend every day on them. I need some suggestions on what I could do to pass the time apart from the obvious watch TV, play games etc. I feel down after having such a high point during the weekend as it feels like it's "back to square one" you know?

Anyone have any ideas? What do you do to pass the time when indoors by yourself? I don't want to go into a period were I feel down/depressed.

Cycling is great, I used to love it. The sense of freedom is like no other... though if you're not bothered about the fresh air aspect, driving is good too. :) Maybe not the right weather for it yet.

I can't remember if you play any instruments - maybe invest some time into practising one, or learning another? :)

step one: get bike
step two: cycle anywhere

I'll second that! I find excercise cheers me up and give me time to think.

If the weather's not so great for that (and it doesn't look to be), then do something constructive. I was bored a few weeks ago so I learned to juggle! Do something of value to you or others. Improve yourself as a person.

I haven't cycled in like a decade. Don't even have a bike anymore. I can't play any instruments and have yet to get a driving license. I should probably start driving lessons but can't be bothered.  :)

Teach yourself a marshall art from Wiki-how or youtube or something?

I used to love walking. If you live near the countryside it can pass the time very nicely. Reading is always good, too. And if you have any interest in music here are a few cheap and fun suggestions: harmonica (they rule!!!!!), penny whistle, recorder, tumbi (if you prefer a stringed instrument). They're all pretty easy to learn. Of course if all that fails, sleep is cool, too :)

You use all your energy online, so nothing else seems worth doing. And maybe you should start driving, you can go anywhere then.

How could i have forgotten - sleep! :D

Good to hear you're doing social things though, well done! Could you not go out on some walks and take photographs? That's what I like doing. Then mess around with them on photoshop :)

That's a good suggestion! I've been meaning to take some new photos for a while now. I'll try do that sometime this week.

Post some if the turn out okay? I've been meaning to post a few from the other day. I'll do that now. :)

@Superb Oyian I doubt my work would be worthy of being put on Deviant Art.  :)

@Willow I will post them if they turn out okay. I'm going out on Saturday to Belfast so will take some then.

Does anyone want a photo of anything specific or just whatever? Any ideas for a photo?
