I think I accidentally ate dish soap. Do I panic?

I guess it's old school to recall one's mother who put a bar of soap in their kid's mouth. :eek::p

I'd think even from the manufacturer's perspective you'd have to be talking about some seriously large gulps of the liquid right out of the bottle to approach a possibility of toxicity. Something within the realm of "unintended usage". Not the conditions the OP outlined.

But manufacturers are legally obliged to make some statement about such things, just for their own legal protection.
