I never know how to title an intro thread

I am a recently diagnosed Aspie woman. I have been married 17 years and have 2 teen sons but am constantly mistaken for a 22-year-old (and have been treated as a student at my son's high school). I hear this is fairly normal for Aspie women. Anyhow, I am rambling, but I am going to let myself because I am so tired of self-correcting to appear normal.

I am a writer. I write copy for a home decor company to pay the bills and have recently sold a few poems and a short story. I went back to college in 2017 and am now a Junior, majoring in English and minoring in Spanish.

My oldest child is on the spectrum, and this diagnosis for me probably should have been obvious years ago, but I was fooled by the different ways men and women present.

Anywho... thank you for this place.

How does that one go? Something, something, pants on fire...

I believe that you're a writer, had to reply to that title.

I'm never mistaken for a 22 year-old woman, but am usually assessed as being rather younger than I am.

Many of us have been diagnosed later in life, myself less than two years ago and I'm 50. I don't work here and didn't build the place, but feel as though I'm a part of it, as far as that might go you're welcome for this place. Now you're part of it too, so thank you for being here.

Why are you so late young lady? I expect a note from your parents tomorrow, now get to class!
