Hello-

I am wondering if anyone can help me discover a new aggressive stim. I tend to pound my leg and arms to stop the feeling of electricity through them. My stims have always been aggressive. Chewing hundreds of pieces of gum, hitting, rocking vigourousy etc

I am filled with anxiety and I am wondering if anyone had stim that helped. I am not opposed to tics either, like I have been openenig and closing my fists rapidly.

I cannot punch myslef in public.

Get a pressured vest perhaps? I've got one for anxiety and feel good moments, that helps a bit. Mine was expensive about £200 but I have the freedom to use it when ever I want because it's not conspicuous and it's durable, I expect it'll last for a long time.

Are you hyposensitive to anything like olfactory? It sounds like you might be hyposensitive to your proprioceptive sense if you need a lot of movement. A pressure vest - or weighted if you don't have the money, could be very useful in that regard.

Wow! I am looking this up now. I have never heard of this. Thank you!!!

Another one that popped into my head would be maybe trying some trampolining. That's a proprioceptive one. Either look to do some at a gym somewhere or one of those mini ones might be good. Gives you a little bit of exercise too.

Did some kick boxing training for years, and still have a punching bag. It's helpful on those days when you want to destroy everything in your path. Punching and kicking the bag releases a lot of pent-up energy, I use it less now as my hands pay the price later.
