So I met this girl...
I have been pushing myself not to get involved in another relationship, too much hurt and confusion.
A girl started working with me. She has only worked three shifts with me so far. She annoyed me a bit as most new people do.
The second shift she walked past me as I was waiting for a taxi home. She said be good and walked off for about thirty metres and promptly came back saying she had gone the wrong way. She doesn't walk slow at all. She also counted the napkins in a very meticulous way. She simply does not stand still, always moving or making sounds.
She asked what she could do at the end of the shift and I told her that the coffee machine needed doing. She asked for the blind filters and basically told me to fu&k off. She then asked me what needed doing. A bit confusing. I simply couldn't resist asking why she kept moving and making sounds "hyperactive" she said.
We started talking a bit and I told her the reason I asked was because I was Autistic and have similar traits. The conversation turned information exchange quickly. She said she didn't see a difference between animals, a cow was just as important as a fish(a dig at me). She also said that none of her friends understood what she said at the best of times. A few more things were said. I stopped talking after a while because I thought she was mocking the way I thought. She was saying things that I had discussed with other people and some not.
I didn't realise at the time that she was speaking her mind and the reason I thought she was mocking me was that her way of thinking was simply very similar to mine. SHE WASN'T MOCKING ME!!!
Usually when people speak it doesn't make sense and I have to do a lot of decoding.
I understood with clarity what she was saying.
I don't remember what she looks like, just that I want to speak more to her. I want to make sense to the person I am speaking too and make sense of what the other says.
I am now petrified about how to proceed. A colleague at work knows her and says that a informal meeting away from too many people would suit her(me too!!!!) She is single btw.
