EXACTLY. That's the bottom line to why I kept him. I knew if things turned sour with his dad I would have never been able to forgive myself for going against my own deepest values and damaging my psyche (and unborn child) -just- for HIS convenience. He may not realize what a HUGE gift and blessing a child really is, but -I- certainly do! :-)
